Sri Lanka, Dec. 23 -- The Sri Lanka Railways Department has announced that all train services may experience significant delays following a derailment between the Colombo Fort and Maradana railway stations.

According to the Sri Lanka Railways Department, an express train operating from Colombo Fort to Mirigama derailed at approximately 9.30 a.m.
