Sri Lanka, July 9 -- The official residence of the Speaker will be transformed into a knowledge center, providing information to members representing all levels of governance in the country, Speaker of House Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne said during a meeting held at Parliament with a delegation from the European Union.

According to a statement issued by the Department of Communications of Parliament, the Speaker has stated that the center will be used to impart essential knowledge to members of Local Authorities, Provincial Councils, and Parliament on subjects such as international relations, fiscal policy, and governance.
