Sri Lanka, Jan. 11 -- Ratnapura recorded the highest temperature in the island today with 33.1 degC.

This was registered at the Ratnapura Meteorological Station, the Department of Meteorology noted.

Meanwhile, the lowest temperature of 19.8 degC was recorded at the Nuwara Eliya Meteorological Station.
