Sri Lanka, Sept. 26 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, following the successful conclusion of his visit to the United States to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), has departed for Japan.

According to the President's Media Division (PMD), he left John F. Kennedy International Airport last night (September 25).

At the invitation of the Japanese government, President Dissanayake is set to undertake an official visit to Japan from September 27 to 30.

During the visit, President Dissanayake will have an audience with His Majesty the Emperor of Japan and he will hold a summit meeting with the Japanese Prime Minister on a wide range of issues of mutual interest, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign ...
