Sri Lanka, Sept. 25 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly, reaffirming the longstanding goodwill between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed ways to further expand cooperation in diverse fields including trade, education, culture, and defense. Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining high-level exchanges to deepen mutual understanding and partnership.
