Sri Lanka, April 15 -- Police have launched an investigation into an incident where a child sustained injuries after reportedly jumping from the second floor of a house on Peer Saibo Road in Keselwatta.

The 12-year-old child who sustained serious injuries in the incident is currently receiving treatment at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children (LRH) in Colombo, the Police Media Division said.

On Sunday (Apr 13), the child, along with two other children, had gone to a shop in the neighborhood and according to Police, they had knocked on the gate of a three-storied house situated nearby.
