Sri Lanka, Feb. 16 -- The Committee on Parliamentary Business which met on Thursday (Feb. 15) under the chairmanship of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana has decided to convene the parliamentary sittings on three days next week - 20, 21 and 22 February.

However, the Parliament will not meet on Friday (Feb.23), as it is Poya Day.

Accordingly, on Tuesday, the Parliament will meet at 9.30 a.m. and the Second Reading of the Secured Transactions, Trust Receipts (Amendment), Mortgage (Amendment), Finance Leasing (Amendment), Inland Trust Receipts (Amendment), Companies (Amendment), Registration of Documents (Amendment) Bills have been scheduled to be taken up for debate, the Parliamentary Communications Department said in a statement.
