Sri Lanka, May 7 -- The National People's Power has won the Matara Municipal Council of the Matara District.

National People's Power (NPP) - 19,682 (17 seats)

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) - 5,390 (4 seats)

Independent Group - 3,815 (3 seats)

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) -2,972 (2 seats)

Sri Lanka Communist Party (SLCP) - 1,942 (2 seats)
