Sri Lanka, Jan. 30 -- Jaffna District Independent MP Ramanathan Archchuna, who was granted bail, stated that he respects the law and has no intention of continuing in politics, expressing dissatisfaction with the political landscape.

Speaking to the media, Archchuna emphasized that he is a doctor and was never previously interested in politics. He explained that although he entered Parliament to serve the people, politics remains a field he strongly dislikes.

"I really don't like politics. I have never cast a vote for 38 years. I came into politics purely for the people. So I won't stay any longer. Politics is a field I don't like at all. But I will remain committed for as long as I am in it," he stated.
