Sri Lanka, Jan. 12 -- The highest temperature recorded in the country today (12) was 31.5degC, reported from the Katunayake Meteorological Station, the Department of Meteorology noted.

Meanwhile, the lowest temperature was recorded at 15.9 degC at the Nuwara Eliya Meteorological Station.
