Sri Lanka, Feb. 18 -- The government has decided to obtain the Special Drawing Rights (SDR) fund equal to US$ 50 million from the World Bank Group to implement the Sri Lanka Digital Transformation Project.

The Digital Transformation Project, which is under the Digital Economy Strategy (2025-2030), has been prepared with the objective of providing public services efficiently and transparently through digital methods.

The Cabinet approval to obtain support from the international development partners to implement the project was granted at the cabinet meeting held in October 2025.
