Sri Lanka, May 25 -- Fourteen more individuals have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus increasing the total number of cases reported in Sri Lanka to 1,162, stated the Ministry of Health.

Accordingly, 21 new coronavirus positive cases have been reported within today so far.

The 14 new cases have been identified among individuals who had returned to the country from Kuwait and were undergoing mandatory quarantine, stated the Department of Government Infomation.

Earlier today (25), seven persons who had also arrived in the country from Kuwait were confirmed to have contracted the virus.
