Sri Lanka, Aug. 13 -- A new project has been launched with the aim of minimizing accidents involving long-distance buses. This will be implemented as a pilot project with the involvement of the private sector, the Ministry of Transport said.
Under this initiative, 40 AI camera systems will be installed in both SLTB and private buses. These systems will monitor driver behavior and take necessary actions to alert the driver. The new camera system is capable of detecting driver fatigue, drowsiness, and even eye closure.
