Sri Lanka, Dec. 4 -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a US$ 3 million disaster relief grant for Sri Lanka to support ongoing operations across the island in the aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah. The ADB has also approved US$ 2 million each for Thailand and Vietnam, which were also hit by extreme weather conditions.
The President of the Asian Development Bank, Masato Kanda made the announcement, following requests for support from the respective governments.
