Sri Lanka, May 27 -- A total of 357 persons have been arrested for violating quarantine regulations within yesterday (26), stated DIG Ajith Rohana.

Joining the TV Derana Breakfast Show 'Derana Aruna', the DIG stated the most number of arrests have been made in Colombo, Kalutara, and Negombo areas.

He stated that video footage obtained on the relevant charges will be submitted to the court as evidence.

The monitoring of quarantine and social distance violators will continue today (27) as well, added the DIG.

He further said certain shortcomings of the public transportation services were observed yesterday and that they are confident the shortcomings would have been addressed by now.
