India, Jan. 14 -- Turmeric futures traded lower on NCDEX as traders booked their profits for the standing crop from domestic spot market. However, outlook remains firm due to a pick-up in demand from overseas buyers and forecast of a smaller crop in the 2020-21 (Jul-Jun) season, restricted some losses.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 6070, lower by 0.10% or Rs 6.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6076.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 8025 lots on NCDEX.
