MANAMA, April 6 -- The Kingdom of Bahrain has detected 1047 new COVID-19 infections on Sunday as result of tests carried out by the Ministry Health.

Out of 18112 COVID-19 tests carried out on April 4th 2021, 1047 new cases have been detected among 331 expatriate workers, 690 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 26 are travel related. There were 852 recoveries from the COVID19, increasing total recoveries to 138407, the Ministry confirmed in its statement.

The spike in number of new cases has continued over the past many days and weeks despite the warnings from the National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19) which urged the citizens and residents to observe health precautionary protocols while in public. The Task For...
