Manama, July 5 -- The Ministry of Health announced 447 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday out of which 250 were expatriate workers. The total death tally from the pandemic has reached 97, according to the official stats updated by the Ministry of Health by Sunday afternoon.

Out of 8280 COVID-19 tests carried out on July 4th July, 447 new cases have been detected among 250 expatriate workers, 193 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 4 are travel related. There were 641 recoveries from the COVID19, increasing total recoveries to 23959. There are 4802 active cases, and 54 cases receiving treatment and 4756 were stable and 46 patients were in a critical condition, the Ministry said.
