MANANA, March 2 -- The Ministry of Health has registered 2 new Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, a Bahraini female and a Saudi male, arriving at Bahrain International Airport via indirect flights from Iran, increasing the number of confirmed cases to 49.

The Ministry added that it has conducted laboratory tests for 2,274 individuals, of which 2,225 tested were negative. Additionally, 47 of the total 49 confirmed cases do not require any medication, with only two cases receiving necessary medication.

The Ministry noted that both patients were tested upon arrival to Bahrain International Airport. Furthermore, after testing negative at the airport, the patients had been quarantined for 14 days in accordance with established procedures, during ...
