Bahrain: death tally from COVID-19 reaches 108; 471 new cases
Manama, July 13 -- The Ministry of Health has confirmed total 108 deaths from the COVID-19 infection and the authorities detected 471 new cases.
"Out of 9589 COVID-19 tests carried out on 12 July 2020, 471 new cases have been detected among 274 expatriate workers, 190 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 7 are travel related. There were 597 recoveries from the COVID19, increasing total recoveries to 28425."
The spike in deaths and number of cases is largely attributable to a deliberate non-compliance of the health and safety guidelines developed and implemented by the authorities.
