Seoul, March 29 -- Seventeen people were injured on Friday morning after a multi-vehicle pileup in South Korea, according to Yonhap news agency.
A concrete mixer truck crashed into a one-tonne truck from behind in northeastern Seoul around 9:21 a.m. local time (0021 GMT), leading to the 13-vehicle pileup, including a motorcycle.
A total of 17 people were wounded, and five were taken to nearby hospitals.
The driver of the one-ton truck was hospitalised in cardiac arrest, and another driver was seriously injured.
The police reportedly believed that the mixer truck driver failed to brake on a downhill road and would investigate the exact cause of the accident.
