Patna, Jan. 24 -- Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today dropped enough hints for increasing the reservation by 13 per cent to Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs) and Extremely Backward Classes (EBCs) in next Panchayat elections.

Mr Modi, while addressing a function organised by Extremely Backward Classes cell of his party BJP to mark birth anniversary of former Bihar Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur here, said that the state government might increase the reservation by 13 per cent to SCs, STs and EBCs by increasing the total reservation from the existing level of 37 per cent to 50 per cent in next Panchayat elections.
