India, May 20 -- A group of 17 Punjabi youths settled in the UK arrived on a 10-day tour of Punjab, India to connect with their roots by visiting the birth place or the native village of their ancestors in Punjab, under the state government's innovative 'Connect with Your Roots' (CYR) Programme'. They met Punjab's Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday, April 17 over tea at his official residence in Chandigarh. CM urged the visiting delegation of Punjabi youth settled in UK to act as cultural ambassadors to complement and create awareness about the state's growth story.
