Hanoi, Nov. 21 -- The Vietnamese men's national football team climbed one spot to 110th in FIFA's November rankings, according to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
FIFA released its latest rankings for men's national teams earlier than scheduled to support preparations for the draw of the World Cup 2026 play-offs, held on the evening of November 20 (Vietnam time).
Due to the early release, some recent friendly and qualifying results were not included, including Vietnam's 2-0 win over Laos, which has yet to be counted in the points calculation.
In Asia, Japan continues to lead the rankings, followed by Iran and the Republic of Korea. Vietnam ranks 20th in the region and retains second position in Southeast Asia, behind Thailand.
