Hanoi, May 21 -- Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Ly Duc Trung paid a working visit to Abu Snan city on May 20 to promote friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and local communities.

Welcoming the diplomat, Mayor Seif Mesheleb introduced Abu Snan as a multicultural city in northern Israel, home to Druze, Muslim, Christian, and Jewish communities living in harmony.

He highlighted the city's progress in education, healthcare, and infrastructure, and expressed interest in partnering with Vietnam in culture, education, and sustainable development.

Mayor Mesheleb proposed establishing a twin relationship with a Vietnamese locality to encourage exchanges and joint projects in economy, education, and culture.
