Lao Cai, Sept. 29 -- Trinh Viet Hung, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee, has been appointed Secretary of the Lao Cai provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 tenure.

The decision was announced at the first congress of the province's Party organisation for the 2025-2030 term, which opened on September 29 with the participation of 440 official delegates representing over 119,000 Party members.

The provincial Party Committee for the new term consists of 65 members, with a Standing Board of 17.
