Ho Chi Minh City, Jan. 27 -- The Cuban Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on January 27 solemnly held a ceremony to inaugurate a bust of Cuban national hero Jose Marti in its campus, marking the 173rd anniversary of his birth (January 28, 1853 - 2026). Sculpted from white marble, the statue stands 65 cm high atop a 140 cm dark granite pedestal. Speaking at the event, Nguyen Manh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, emphasised that the inauguration of the bust statue of Jose Marti - Cuba's national hero and a great thinker - was an event of profound humanitarian significance and deep friendship between Vietnam and Cuba.
