Singapore, March 11 -- Party General Secretary To Lam and leaders of Vietnamese ministries, agencies and localities witnessed the announcement of Singapore - Phu Quoc direct flight service on March 11, as part of his ongoing official visit to the city state from March 11-13.

Starting May 30, Vietnam's budget carrier Vietjet Air will operate the new route with four weekly flights. This addition brings the total number of weekly flights between Vietnam and Singapore to 78, catering to an estimated half a million passengers a year.
