Hanoi, Aug. 27 -- Speaker of the New Zealand House of Representatives (Parliament) Gerry Brownlee arrived in Hanoi on August 27, beginning his five-day official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man.

Brownlee and his entourage were welcomed at Noi Bai International Airport by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan, Ambassador of New Zealand to Vietnam Caroline Rachel Beresford, and other officials of the embassy.

Brownlee's official visit to Vietnam takes place at a time when the two countries are celebrating the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations (June 19, 1975-2025). It is expected to consolidate political trust, deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership...
