Hanoi, Dec. 30 -- The Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Hanoi has proposed allocating 5.28 billion VND (about 201,000 USD) to present 5,280 gift packages to near-poor households and those in special difficult circumstances across the city on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2026.

The funding is expected to come from the municipal "For the Poor" Fund, under which each ward will receive 30 gift packages and each commune 50 packages, with each package valued at 1 million VND.
