SRINAGAR, March 22 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation arrested an accused forest guard in the Bilawar area of Kathua district for demanding and accepting bribe Rs 35,000 bribe from a complainant.
In a statement, issued to KNO a spokesperson said that a case was registered by CBI on 20.03.2025 against the accused on allegations that he demanded Rs 35000 bribe from a complainant for allowing him to execute construction and repair of road and release of a JCB forcibly taken by the accused.
The statement reads that the CBI laid a trap and caught the accused forest guard red-handed while demanding and accepting Rs 35,000 from the complainant.
