, Jan. 25 -- SRINAGAR: Amid reports suggesting Nasir Aslam Wani, advisor to chief minister Omar Abdullah, will be the National Conference candidate for Budgam bypolls, he along with deputy chief minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary met Member of Parliament Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi at his residence today.
Speaking with reporters, the deputy chief minister, as per KNO, that they met Ruhullah for a cup of tea at his residence.
"I feel proud to meet Aga Ruhullah, who is not only a political leaders but a religious cleric as well," he said.
The meeting comes amid difference between MP Aga Ruhullah and the National Conference, particularly after the MP led a youth protest outside chief minister's Gupkar residence over reservation policy row.
