Uzbekistan, March 5 -- Uzbekistan Railways has announced a temporary additional high-speed Afrosiyob train service between Tashkent and Samarkand from March 20 to April 1. The extra daytime trips aim to accommodate passengers during the Navruz and Ramadan holidays.

The new service will operate on select dates, with departures as follows:

* Samarkand to Tashkent: 10:55 AM - 1:15 PM

* Tashkent to Samarkand: 1:56 PM - 4:14 PM

Additional trips will be available on March 20-25, 29-31, and April 1.

For reference, as of February 1, ticket prices for Afrosiyob trains have increased. VIP and business class fares rose by 25%, while economy class tickets became 20% more expensive.
