Today, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) spoke on the Senate floor to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol that led to the tragic deaths of five law enforcement officers from Virginia. The attack was instigated by President Donald Trump in his efforts to block the peaceful transfer of power, and in the years following, Trump has attempted to rewrite history on what really happened on January 6, 2021.
