ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,473,270, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to Yissum Research Development Co. of the Hebrew University of Imersualem Ltd. (Israel).

"CB1R receptor blockers with acyclic backbones" was invented by Simon Benita (Tel Aviv, Israel), Taher Nassar (Kfar Tur'an, Israel), Joseph Tam (Jerusalem) and Shira Hirsh (Jerusalem).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention generally concerns a novel class of CB 1 receptor binding molecules and uses thereof."

The patent was filed on Jan. 15, 2020, under Application No. 17/422,733.
