ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,296,585, issued on May 13, was assigned to Xerox Corp. (Norwalk, Conn.).

"System and method for improving image quality by orienting adjacent printheads to produce opposite direction ink flows in the manifolds of the adjacent printheads" was invented by Christine A. Steurrys (Williamson, N.Y.) and John P. Meyers (Penfield, N.Y.).
