ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,251,436, issued on March 18, was assigned to Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) (Madison, Wis.) and The University of Tokyo (Tokyo).

"Recombinant influenza viruses with stabilized HA for replication in eggs" was invented by Yoshihiro Kawaoka (Middleton, Wis.), Shinya Yamada (Bunkyo-ku, Japan) and Shiho Chiba (Madison, Wis.).
