ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,343,350, issued on July 1, was assigned to Windtree Therapeutics Inc. (Warrington, Pa.).

"Istaroxime-containing intravenous formulation for the treatment of acute heart failure (AHF)" was invented by Giuseppe Bianchi (Milan), Patrizia Ferrari (Varese, Italy), Mara Ferrandi (Milan) and Paolo Barassi (Castelveccana, Italy).
