ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,391,658, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to VTV THERAPEUTICS LLC (High Point, N.C.).
"Sulfoxide and sulfone glucokinase activators and methods of use thereof" was invented by Nhut Diep (Houston), Philippe Pitchen (Genolhac, France) and Matthew Ronsheim (Sudbury, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This application relates to sulfoxide and sulfone compounds of Formula (X) and other compounds that may be useful to activate glucokinase as part of a treatment for various diseases including diabetes. Further encompassed are pharmaceutical compositions comprising a compound according to the invention."
