ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. D1,084,344, issued on July 15, was assigned to VITALMEX INTERNACIONAL S.A. DE C.V. (Tlalnepantla, Mexico).

"Device for monitoring systolic, diastolic pressures and flow for use in a ventricular assist device" was invented by Abraham Jimenez Cristen (Cuautitlan Izcalli, Mexico), Cynthia Denisse Anaya Romo (Azcapotzalco, Mexico) and Eduardo Gonzalez Hernandez (Venustiano Carranza, Mexico).
