ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,285,563, issued on April 29, was assigned to VAPOTHERM INC. (Exeter, N.H.).

"Cannula device for high flow therapy" was invented by Felino V. Cortez Jr. (Bowie, Md.), George C. Dungan II (Dallas), Mark Kolnsberg (Beverly, Mass.), Charles Busey (Easton, Md.), Randolph Brian Kirkland (Asheville, N.C.), Karen Goldwalker (Greenland, N.H.) and Meghan H. Kate (Deerfield, N.H.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A nasal cannula is described herein for respiratory therapy which includes a first gas supply tub with a distal end terminating in a first connector, and a nasal cannula body which includes a first end rotatably coupled to the first connector,...
