ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,276,161, issued on April 15, was assigned to VALLOUREC OIL AND GAS FRANCE (Aulnoye-aymeries, France).
"Lifting plug" was invented by Steve Langford (Meudon, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A lifting plug for connection with a tubular member, the lifting plug including a tubular body including an externally threaded portion; one or more apertures extending through the tubular body within the externally threaded portion; and a flange at a first end of the tubular body for engagement with a lifting device."
The patent was filed on Oct. 13, 2023, under Application No. 18/486,667.
