ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,379,279, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to University of South Carolina (Columbia, S.C.).

"Vibration test-cell with axial load and in-situ microscopy" was invented by Victor Giurgiutiu (Columbia, S.C.), Md Yeasin Bhuiyan (Vergennes, Vt.) and Matthew Droghini (Aiken, S.C.).
