ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,303,621, issued on May 20, was assigned to UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH-OF THE COMMONWEALTH SYSTEM OF HIGHER EDUCATION (Pittsburgh).

"Use of self-assembled alkylsilane coatings for drug delivery applications" was invented by Elia Beniash (Pittsburgh) and Avinash Patil (Pittsburgh).
