ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,297,437, issued on May 13, was assigned to UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH-OF THE COMMONWEALTH SYSTEM OF HIGHER EDUCATION (Pittsburgh).
"Optogenetic induction of membraneless organelles" was invented by Christopher James Donnelly (Pittsburgh) and Joseph Patrick Clarke (Pittsburgh).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates to compounds, compositions, and methods for the induction of membraneless organelles."
The patent was filed on Aug. 17, 2018, under Application No. 16/639,789.
