ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,286,589, issued on April 29, was assigned to University of Pittsburgh-Of the Commonwealth System of Higher Education (Pittsburgh) and The United States Government as Represented by the Department of Energy (Washington).

"Method of oil recovery using compositions of carbon dioxide and compounds to increase carbon dioxide wettability of formations" was invented by Robert M. Enick (Bethel Park, Pa.), Deepak Tapriyal (Bethel Park, Pa.), Angela Goodman Hanson (Pittsburgh) and Dustin Crandall (Morgantown, W.va.).
