ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,377,135, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to University of Miami (Miami) and The United States Government as Represented by the Department Veterans Affairs (Washington).

"GHRH antagonists for use in a method of treating sarcoidosis" was invented by Mehdi Mirsaeidi (Jacksonville, Fla.), Chongxu Zhang (Riverside, Ill.), Andrew V. Schally (Miami Beach, Fla.) and Renzhi Cai (Miami).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure provides a method of treating sarcoidosis, the method comprising administering a GHRH antagonist to mammalian subject in need thereof."
