ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,281,308, issued on April 22, was assigned to University of Massachusetts (Westborough, Mass.).

"Inhibition of protein kinases to treat Friedreich ataxia" was invented by Michael R. Green (Boylston, Mass.) and Minggang Fang (Northborough, Mass.).
