ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,378,220, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to University of Maryland, Baltimore (Baltimore).

"WNT signaling pathway inhibitors for treatments of disease" was invented by Fengtian Xue (Potomac, Md.) and Yan Shu (Clarksville, Md.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Compounds and compositions are provided as inhibitors of the Wnt/Beta-catenin pathway for the treatment of diseases that implicate the same."

The patent was filed on May 19, 2023, under Application No. 18/320,805.
