ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,357,610, issued on July 15, was assigned to UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON SYSTEM (Houston).
"Aryl-substituted acetamide and pyrrolidin-2-one derivatives and their use for the treatment of seizures" was invented by Anton Dubrovskiy (Houston) and Arcadius V. Krivoshein (Houston).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Aryl-substituted acetamide and pyrrolidin-2-one (Gamma-butyrolactam) derivatives have useful activity in the inhibition, prevention, or treatment of seizures.
